The following are some of the contradictions, mistakes, and absurdities of the Bible.
The first one can be categorized as a contradiction.
In one verse of the Bible it states that God is not like imperfect humans that he should regret (repent) anything he does and yet most people are probably aware of at least one time in the Bible that God regretted (repented) something he did. Here are the verses for your verification:
Of course people who make a living out of the Bible scholar proffesion, other religious zealots, and apologetics are going to try to spin the meaning of these verses much like a political pundit on a news network or a lawyer in a courtroom would. But the verses speak for themselves: God said he doesn't regret (repent) and yet he does.
1 Samuel 15: 29...And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent...
and in the very same chapter on verse 11 we read: ...It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments...
