I have a saying that I use sometimes: "Nothing is irrelevant", what I mean is that everything, even things which seem to have nothing in common in reality do. I BELIEVE that destiny (God) has allowed everything that has happened in human history to happen for a REASON.
I don't know if you guys are familiar with "Tengu" and his legend. The people who have some knowledge of Tengu probably think he was an evil goblin, but in reality he was good. The thing he hated most was arrogance. This made me wonder if Tengu was just a manisfestation of Jehovah (Yahveh) and Jesus to the asians which they decided to call by that name because if you are familiar with the old testament you will know that one of the things that God hates most is arrogance.
As the legend of Tengu goes: he would "abduct" arrogant munks and samuraii and humiliate them in martial art fights. The victim was then said to have been "Taken by Tengu". the video game "Dead or alive 2" depicts Tengu as an evil being.
How does Dragonball Z fit into this? Some of you may know what Dragonball Z is. In the anime series one of the characters is nicknamed "mister satan" and he is not very powerfull at all compared to the "super saiyans" but to the people of earth he is a hero and they trust him. The vid below has to do with "boosting", a topic which was brought to my attention by OneConscious in another of my posts which is linked at the end of this post (please check out that post too after you finish with this one). Notice that there is a "Dragon" which people can make wishes to.
Don't cringe at the immaturity of a cartoon this one is actually deeper than it seems yet I admit the majinboo series was not my fave. Notice how the people say: "Satan" as they send up their energy. This stuff is priceless
So now we have connected Asia with the Bible and the Quran. So I'll finish this post with another one of RUSH's songs: "Territories" (w/ video)
I see the Middle Kingdom between Heaven and Earth Like the Chinese call the country of their birth We all figure that our homes are set above Other people than the ones we know and love In every place with a name They play the same territorial game Hiding behind the lines Sending up warning signs
The whole wide world An endless universe Yet we keep looking through The eyeglass in reverse Don't feed the people But we feed the machines Can't really feel What international means In different circles, we keep holding our ground In different circles, we keep spinning round and round
We see so many tribes overrun and undermined While their invaders dream of lands they've left behind Better people...better food...and better beer... Why move around the world when Eden was so near? The bosses get talking so tough And if that wasn't evil enough We get the drunken and passionate pride Of the citizens along for the ride
They shoot without shame In the name of a piece of dirt For a change of accent Or the color of your shirt Better the pride that resides In a citizen of the world Than the pride that divides When a colorful rag is unfurled
